CTDI
Company description
CTDI (Communications Test Design, Inc.) is a global provider of engineering, logistics, and repair services for the telecommunications industry. The company supports the largest telecommunications operators and OEM manufacturers worldwide. CTDI employs over 20,000 people across more than 100 facilities globally, including 4,200 employees in 26 locations throughout Europe.
Project summary
To increase predictability and automate decision-making processes, CTDI in Europe implemented Microsoft Fabric as a centralized analytics platform. The project — completed in partnership with ANEGIS over a six-month period — focused on unifying reporting tools and deploying predictive pricing analytics powered by machine learning.
The solution integrated data from various sources, enabling automated report generation, exploratory data analysis directly in Fabric, and ongoing forecast evaluation to drive continuous improvement. Three forecasting models — statistical and ML-based — were used to ensure high accuracy across different data sets.
The implementation significantly improved operational and strategic decision-making, enhanced data security, and simplified data sharing across internal units and external partners. Microsoft Fabric has laid the foundation for future scalability and innovation in CTDI’s analytics landscape.
The solution successfully addressed our key challenges in business intelligence and data analytics by providing a unified analytical platform that integrates diverse data sources across our global operations. This streamlined approach has enhanced decision-making and operational efficiency while ensuring robust security and simplifying data sharing throughout the organization. The implementation of ML-based advanced analytics has been particularly impactful. Automating price optimization across the entire data flow has significantly reduced manual effort and improved accuracy. Looking ahead, CTDI is optimistic about further scaling the solution and leveraging its advanced capabilities to unlock new opportunities.
