D365 F&O: Manage Sales Commissions
In this video.
We'll look at the processes involved in managing sales commissions. Firstly, we'll set up a Commission customer group by going to sales and marketing commissions, customer groups for Commission, and we'll open a new group and here we'll put an identifier.
We're going to call this special Commission.
Once this is set up, we can.
Calculate the Commission through the Commission calculation form.
We'll come back to this later.
To add the customer to our new Commission customer group, we'll open a customer record through all customers.
And we'll just choose the first one.
We'll go to the tab. Sales order defaults. Click edit.
And in Commission group select.
Now we'll create a Commission item group for items that share the same sales Commission calculation. We'll go back to our commissions this time item groups and create a new group and we'll enter an identifier.
I'll just call it widgets.
And again we can access the calculation form through general.
To attach a group to an item, we'll go to our products under product information management and release products, and we'll just choose the first product.
And we need the.
And we'll click edit.
And under Administration Commission group will choose widgets.
Next, we'll set up a commissioned sales group for a specific group of employees.
Back to our commissions sales groups.
And we'll click new to create a new sales group.
Again, we'll enter an identifier and a name.
For this group.
And this time we'll add members directly to the group by going to sales Rep and choosing sales team member from the dropdown. We'll just choose the first one.
And the Commission share.
Is the proportion each member gets of the Commission? So if we make this Group A group of four people and we want them to get equal Commission, we'll put 25 here.
To attach this group to a customer, we'll go back to our customer form in all customers.
And we'll just choose the same one.
And again on the sales order default tab, we'll need to choose edit.
And then choose sales group.
Or we can.
Add the group to a sales order line by going to our sales orders.
Or just choose this one.
And we'll click.
Edit go to the setup tab.
And select our sales group.
Lastly, we'll return to our Commission calculation Form Commission calculation.
And will open a new form for item code. Table will be a single item.
Or we have group or or. Well, we set up a group, so we'll use that our widgets.
Customer code again.
We can choose Table, group or all.
We'll choose our group we set up, and likewise for the sales Rep.
The discount here we specify when the Commission calculation occurs.
Before or after or after total discount and basic.
Is it calculated on revenue or margin? Here will enter the amount 10% if we leave the date field blank then this calculation is valid for an unlimited period.
If we toggle find next to yes, it will apply other applicable Commission rates for the current invoice line, and that's our calculation conf.
